12/31/2002 Archived Entry: "I'm killing the computer, I know I am xP"

My dad's thinking of reinstalling Windows XP, which I am highly against, because I'll have to save my 200+ MP3s (372MB after I deleted 100+ mp3s), my entire backup folders (780+ MB which I shrunk to 647MB in order to fit on the rewriteable CD) AND the anime downloads I've made (well over 4 GBs). I'm not worried about much except my anime downloads. I've been wanting to burn them onto a CD and then delete them off of the harddrive so I wouldn't take up so much space and get my dad curious of what I have in there and go looking. At the moment I only have Ayashi no Ceres burned, but I could burn Fruits Basket, X and Pretear. However, I'm missing *1 part* of episode 23 of Furuba, so I can't burn that. >< >< For X and Pretear, I have half of the episodes on this computer and the other half on my laptop, and I haven't been able to get a network card to link the two computers together, so I have no way of transferring the episodes on my laptop to my computer (My laptop has no CD burner). So...I'm thinking of downloading them again from this computer and then burning them, because it doesn't look like I'm going to get the network card any time soon. With those 3 series burned I can get rid of 1.64GB on there. But still =_= there's about 3 GB left of anime that a rewriteable CD can't hold. I'll need about 5 or 6 rewriteable CDs at this rate. @.@ That's why I don't want my dad to reinstall. On top of which, all of my PSP and PS settings/preferences will be gone, all of my programs gone and I'll have to reinstall. Argh. @.@ One thing I'm glad of, this event did push me to update my backup CD, which hasn't been updated for half a year. xP

Happy New Year, Trin!! :D I know you're probably around 2 hours ahead, so I'm really late. Anyway, I hope you had a great time, and don't exhaust yourself backing everything up. That's a lot of anime right there. XD

Ah hah hah, I don't even have a backup CD XD. I'm so irresponsible... I'm lucky my computer doesn't crash *knocks on wood* because I've never had backups... and I take over 20GB of this computer's hard drive, harhar. *sweatdrop* I hope this hard drive never crashes *knocks on wood*.
