Gross. n_n I’m tired, sleepy, and I smell like coffee all over. =_= It’s only 8:30am, and work was just over. The first couple weeks of work is the hardest. It’s when your manager is impatient with you, your co-workers kind of stare at the “newbie” who doesn’t know how to do anything. It’s when you think “Man, they’re gonna fire me next week because I can’t do a thing.” It brings your self-esteem down. But then you just gotta look right back at the manager and think, in a couple of years she’ll still be here making what, 20 dollars/hr max, and I’ll be making 100/hr, so eat that, witch.
Congrats, you know how to work the coffee machine. That’ll get you through life, hell yeah. n_n
Well, the good news is, I have most of today off. All I have is a lab from 6-8pm and I’m free the rest of the day. Normally I’d be sleeping around now, but since I got up at 6:30am and worked, I don’t really feel like going back to sleep now. I only dread the morning hours for about 5 minutes, those 5 minutes when you first wake up, disorientated, groggy, and VERY cranky.
Yesterday was one of my busier days. I was tired by the time I got home, so I went to see my boyfriend. Now there’s a small problem with him and his roommates hearing knocks on the door (no doorbell). This has happened numerous times in the past, and I’ve gotten accustomed to knocking on the wall a bit far back, where their rooms actually are. The wall is very thin, so if I pressed my ear against the wall, I can hear their conversations. Now, I went over there yesterday, and knocked on the wall. But between the 2nd and 3rd flight of stairs, I hear this extremely loud rhythm coming from some room. I think to myself, this is ridiculous and rude. People might be studying at this time. But upon further inspection, I concluded that it’s actually coming from his dorm. So I go and knock on the wall, and usually they can hear it right away and come to the door. I wait, and wait, and wait. I knock a few times more, then I hear voices from the other side of the wall. So, they were basically standing RIGHT next to the wall and talking, but they simply couldn’t hear me knocking. That goes to show how loud the music is. I get pissed off and walk back to my dorm. On the way out of their building, I could still hear the music. That basically appalls me. The building’s what, made of brick and the walls are pretty thick. It’s just beyond me how someone can be so ignorant as to blast the music so loud that they wouldn’t hear if the fire alarm went off or much else, for that matter. We have a rule in the buildings that anyone can go over and tell them to shut up if they’re being disturbed by loud noises. Of course, if you can’t fucking hear the bangs on the door because your ignorance happens to be shoved too far up your ears, then that just defeats the purpose huh.
Ironic thing is, he called about 5 minutes after I got back, so I seized the chance and gave him a piece of my mind. Turns out that it was his roommate’s wall of stereos (boys like to have ridiculous things like that), which he was showing off how loud he can blast the music and apparently woe his fellow roommates.
Argh. Guys. They need to do something about their obliviousness. It still amazes me how different males and females are, in actions, thoughts, and behavior. Even the intelligent can be real dense sometimes. T_T
